My curious April. Day 5, part 1

11.51, Tokyo National art centre  Looking at Monet's 'Monet's garden in Giverny' I recall for some reason the scene when Gerda enters an old woman's garden with colourful flowers, and this childhood memory makes me feel warm. By the way, Monet's paintings are not too be looked at closely. They need to be admired from a distance.

Our hot trip to Japan 2017. Day 9, part 2

13.45, Matsuoka museum of art
In a small building you won't notice, just like in Sato Sakura museum, are many treasures on display. Travelling through time from ancient Egypt, China and India items to 19-20 centuries impressionist vivid pictures.
Isn't it very, very tender and beautiful - Le bateau d'oranges, Marseille. I've encountered Paul Signac today.
