'Close range love' ~ because a movie with a Sakanaction song cannot be bad

It's my intuition. Insight. Second sight. When I doubt, I doubt. When I don't, I seldom make mistakes. If I see that this movie is different from the beginning, then it proves to be different to the end.

story and characters

When I tried to retell the story to my friend, I realised how plain it is. She is emotionless, he is sneering at her, she is in trouble, he lifts her and brings to the infirmary accompanied by some solemn music. Others try to split them but they won't let them. Then he learns of her dream and decides to let her go by lying that he does not love her any more, but she then understands it was a lie. What can be easier?

In fact, it gets very sweet by the end and I would probably throw rotten tomatoes at such scenes

if not for that fact that something makes it different from your usual Japanese romantic movies. And that something is...

acting

Well, undfortunately I am not speaking of the main Heroine, Komatsu Nana, because she was your usual pretty Japanese girl who looked like she had to use eyedrops in the scene when her heroine was crying.

And that infamous Japanese romance! Not suspicious at all, aha.

Okay, okay, I'll finally tell you what's good in this movie. I think you guessed already, if you saw the cast.

I mean, I'm not a fan of Yamapi, even though I've seen a lot of movies with him. I kind of admire him from afar, I'm not a fangirl, I don't swoon when I see him. I simply think he's attractive and plays his roles a bit better than other actors do, because I do think Japanese cinema actors, as opposed to theatre actors, suck at acting, since most of them are there for their looks.

But here Yamasisa (as my friend once called him and that became the way we call him among ourselves and therefore the way I am used to call him) was so incredibly hot I almost evaporated during the first 10 minutes. I loved his acting, I loved how he portrayed the character, I loved his changing facing expressions.
Other actors were just normal, I wouldn't mention anyone in particular, but maybe, just maybe, Kotaki Nozomu was cute. Oh yes he was. Extremely. Yeah... It titillates my maternal instinct. Not that I find him attractive, but rather I want to punch other children who are offending him. or give him a candy...

music

Like I said, this is a movie that looked not alike other ones that I've seen, and when the end titles start, I suddenly hear this masterpiece

Not a touching song by Shiina Ringo, not a cute one by Ikimonogakari, not a pompous song by some band like Alexandros, not a glitzy piece by Juju, but an extremely stylish, slow, picturesque 'hasu no hana'. I couldn't wish for a better ending.

Though I can't say I liked the OST particularly, the 'epic song' in the epic scene was really impressive =)

conclusion

As a person who cannot sit still when he knows there is an original work this movie is based upon, I started reading the manga already. And what was my surprise when I saw that the movie scenario was better. Those moments showing how the teacher could read the Heroine's emotions by her subtle gestures, those moments when they both doubted and reflected their feelings, even the romantic moment in the classroom - all things that happened in the first volume very quickly, took some time in the movie and therefore, were much more profound and expressive. To be honest, after the first 4 chapters I just stared at the screen and thought - 'if in the manga she yielded so fast, what are the remaining 9 volumes about?'

my humble opinion on 'Rurouni Kenshin' the movie ~ if you want to have a good laugh

no I have not watched it yet. I only wanted to check the quality of the file I downloaded and since I love the original work a lot I could not stop and watched a few moments. they were enough for me, as I have a special 'talent' to be able to judge about anything with only a few hints or small pieces of information

laughable, really. actors, acting, setting, story... well, what is to expect? RuroKen is a brand, no longer a good old story. the last OVA and the movie reveal a completely different RuroKen than 'twas in '95, which would be ok if they omitted the unnecessary and payed attention to what was the heart of the story. OVA and movie are completely different from each other, too, but both of them failed to cope with the task of keeping the original spirit of RK

15 years ago drama was drama, funny lines were funny, cool frames were cool, touching moments were touching, beautiful pictures were beautiful

what surprised me most is that I do not dislike anything in particular. Sato-kun is better than I predicted playing Kenshin, Kaoru is cute, Sano is strong, Yahiko is pert, Megumi is beautiful, fights with special effects and tricks are probable just as they would look like if we film what is shown in manga. the problem is that all of this put together does not create the RuroKen I love

oh, now I see. this is my distorted way of seeing things. I have a special image of RK because of my own circumstances. modern Japanese boys and girls do not have the same image. I doubt they even know the original. and I am sure they have never heard of Suzukaze-sama and the other seiyuus. the movie is for them, for the new generation of spectators, not for me, the old version fan

no, really, I like some of ONE OK ROCK's songs, I do. they are strong and have good melodies, lyrics, composition, arrangement, performance and vocals. yes, I admit. but none of them made me cry the same as...

my humble opinion on 'Angel' by F. Ozon ~ 2 hours???

well if Angel pissed me off right from the start, this means ms Garai was good? yeah, everybody was pretty credible, and I have nothing to add

visual aspect

unlike interior and clothes, which were really admirable, frames like this looked really hillarious. I undrestand travelling would be too expensive but could they not afford at least some London panoramas? not that I care too much but.....

conclusion

I was bored some 15 minutes after the beginning. I was thinking of dropping it in the middle. since I am no fan of such stories... what made me watch till the end? I do not know

what did I draw out of this film? oh, there are so many different people in this world whose way of seeing the world is so different from mine and impossible to understand

p. s. just now I remembered that frequently it happened that even if I did not like the characters and did not feel close to them, or sympathy, or anything, I at least admired them and felt respect. it is so frustrating nobody earned my respect in this story

my humble opinion on 'As You Like It' 2006 ~ international modern Shakespeare?

plot and characters

I am no fan of Shakespeare but the truth is that I like his comedies more that tragedies. so this is the kind of story I enjoy very much

performance

let me be brief. this is the kind of modern movies that don't offend the original by its 'modernness' and retains enough impressive power from the play itself, but adds the scenery (not only in terms of nature) which only makes it more interesting to watch. 'international' cast, 'international' clothes and 'international' background set were all to the point and fitting absolutely. the child, the little girl in me loved the wedding scene greatly

 but the rest of the scenes were not less perfect

cast

Bryce Dallas Howard was good, really good... I wonder if 'twas her character that didn't allow me to fall in love with her

Janet McTeer as Audrey - weeeell... I didn't recognise her >___< for the sake of justice I must say she was almost impossible to recognise when I saw her only once and only as a 'male role player'
and finally, Romola Garai - this is who really impressed me and made me like her character. this I understand perfectly - if not for her acting I wouldn't like Celia so much, but Celia was already a character just for an actress like this. well of course I don't know much about Ms Garai, but she seemed very natural here

let me only say about others that they were very, very good. perhaps the English style of acting is closer to me, that is why I am saying so...

conclusion

a lot of fun, a bit of romance and enough original philosophy - that is what I would call this movie

my humble opinion on 'Albert Nobbs' ~ can I really call this an opinion?

'tis more about the feelings than a proper analysis or systematized evaluation. probably this is not the case when I can free myself from the impression and think calmly

plot and characters

this is a story that starts peacefully and ends peacefully, not too stirring up and intriguing, but never too boring, on the other hand. this story has the 'balance' that I usually value very much, and this is why I loved it. this is the slice-of-life that doesn't look like complete nonsense

apart from the main character living the life of the opposite sex - and another character being the same - there was nothing outstanding or unusual. there were daily routine things and special events, sad moments that touched me and a pinch of humour to make the story even more enjoyable

even if there weren't much screen time for minor characters, they had enough to let the spectators feel the time and the mores
I am no expert to speak confidently, but I do think that everything looked realistic, and everything was exactly what I would like to see

visual aspect

speaking of what I would like to see - I had enough interior to enjoy, a few streets to cast a short look at, and plenty of clothes to look more closely. one could probably want a greater panorama of the times - views of old Dublin, pictures of lovely countryside, chic salons, or something else - but I doubt the movie was aiming that high. I do believe the atmosphere can be created with less scale but more efforts. and efforts I saw in abundance
by efforts I mean how much attention was payed to every single scene and all the people and items that filled it

acting
strange 'twould be if acting was bad while everything else is absolutely splendid. however, this movie also didn't do without a blot on the landscape. the blot has the name of Mia Wasikowska
when I first saw her in 'Alice' I thought that the poor (terrible, awful, disgusting... I can go on, but I won't) Russian dub contributed greatly to her image of young incapable girl with expressions, gestures - and voice, of course - of a stone. now I see the Russian voice actress didn't change much
Mia did everything written in the script and told by the director-and-whoever-else like a good girl and but never crossed the necessary line to become realistic
this is crying, even if 'tis silent crying

I don't want to say these screenshots convey everything there was, so these three images are probably not enough to explain that some actors and actresses were good and Mia... wasn't as good. however I just could not make myself believe in her when everybody else, every character was a real, credible, living person, including all the supporting roles. I even think that this is an insult from me to mention no names here when all those people played so well, but the post would become too long and I'd like to finish with a praise for all of the crew

conclusion
even though there were hot passions, and tragedies of fate, and love and death, I still believe this is a peaceful story done in pastel colours. and people who are wondering about the main character's way of life, as well as that of Mr Page, can have this as an answer

p. s. and the accents! a really fascinating mixture of people from different places (in terms of both geography and social standing) with their own pronunciation... oh I don't know how to express how I loved this aspect, in addition to everything else

my humble opinion on 'Victoria and Albert'

plot and characters

how come a movie called 'The Young Victoria' explains their personalities and their relationship better than the movie which has their names in the title?

and vice versa, this film seems to be much more accurate in the political side. perhaps some scenes lacked the tension ans drama in comparison with 'The Young Victoria', such as when Conroy presses the young Victoria to refuse the income that the King is willing to give to her, but I presume that was how the things really were going then

of course Lord Melbourne's figure was also much more realistic, and Stockmar was attending to the Duchess of Kent and Victoria, not only educating Albert, and of course the assassination attempt - there were points really close to the real events, not too romanticized

on the other hand, the romance was... well not entirely absent of course, but something was lacking. while in 'The Young Victoria' I could see clearly how they came to like each other and why, and how they complemented each other, in 'V&A' such things were left aside. Victoria simply fell in love with him - after dancing on the ball and playing the piano. and Albert only grew to love her after 20 years after being touched by her words during the opening ceremony of the Crystal Palace. that's what we are shown. oh, I know what is lacking. depth

instead the family life of the couple was detailed enough. first, there were lots of details from the real events, such as Victoria watching her husband shaving, and some others. we see the couple having their first children, Victoria having dinner with them and Albert playing tricks with the children, we saw them worried about their son, and so on

acting

and those children were especially well played. I actually loved very much how Bertie and Alice were portrayed. also, Lord Melbourne seemed to be much softer a man than I would expect. and of course Victoria's mother played by Penelope Wilson, whom I know already from watching 'The Borrowers'. splendid, and I have to note that her image was really close to that of Arrietty's mother, maybe 'tis because Ms Wilson's usual behaviour is also like this

other than that, acting was not remarkable, but really, really good and credible

music

although the 'behind the scenes' short movie revealed that there was a whole concept of the composer of what the music should be like, I wasn't impressed much. and I wasn't annoyed either. perhaps this is all what is to be expected from a movie of this kind

conclusion

a good historical film, really historical. though may seem a bit boring for those who are not absolutely interested in Queen Victoria's life

p. s. but the ending! I cried... well I am a crybaby, but I was really touched... to the extent I felt a lump in the throat

my humble opinion on 'The Young Victoria'

only yesterday I told my friend that I would be happy to watch something about the Victorian times, or at least something describing Europe of the 19th - early 20th century

to my surprise, I had 'The Young Victoria' already downloaded. this is not exactly what I wanted to watch, as it doesn't show much of the daily life of ordinary people, but surely the epoch is exactly what I wanted

plot, characters and acting

as far as I understand, there weren't too many mistakes and anachronisms to spoil the general atmosphere. even for me who knows almost nothing about those times and those people, everything looks credible and... smooth? I mean, nothing pops out to ruin your impression

the characters were the more interesting that I read that Victoria and Albert were a dual pair of ESE (ESFj) and LII (INTj) respectively. now that I watched the film I can say this version seems truly realistic...

well, this is not the main question. were they or not, I enjoyed the love story greatly. the relationship between them was never overemphasized, never too luscious, never changed to please that part of the audience which demands 'pure romance' where there is nothing else but the romance and everything has its meaning only applying to the romance. in other words, Victoria and Albert were living people, not just random moving dolls following the will of the screenplay writers, directors, etc. well, yes, there are some scene that are inaccurate from the historical point of view, but I can't say they spoil the movie

my favourite point is when Victoria insists on helping her people stating that this is what she thinks a duty of a queen, and once she mentions the ideas that Albert shared with her. was it a real duality, or not, the fact that those two were mutually supporting each other and offering invisible assistance is subject to no doubts

and maybe... also... no, surely, I loved it when Victoria summoned Albert to England and almost proposed herself to him... ^^` a strange couple but so touching

oh, and also I loved how Albert reacted after hearing about Lord Melbourne '...he puts the interests of England above those of Europe... ...And he wouldn't spill one drop of English blood to save a foreign throne'. and Albert answers 'But why would he want to save a foreign throne if it wasn't in England's interest?' - ohhhh so very logical... 

oh and the last part - the subtle humor. not the LOL kind, but the one that makes you slightly smile. like that of the first meeting of Victoria and Albert - after he sees she understood that he only says what's necessary to say naming his favourite composer and opera the same as hers, he makes his move - 'and Schubert. perhaps you don't like him but I do'

on the other hand, 'tis really important that the Victoria-Albert line was cleverly mixed with other ones. Victoria opposing John Conroy, Victoria at the King's birthday, Victoria worried about her coronation, Victoria starting her queen 'career', Victoria thinking about the common people, Victoria discussing political matters, everything is shown in such a way that we can understand how things worked those days and more importantly - how Victoria felt

as for other characters, I don't want to speak long of them, but all of them were deep, that's what I want to mark. no odd ones, no unnecessary characters and no unnecessary things they did, and no and no false looks on their faces. every one of them was worthy of seeing and understanding

Victoria's mother - a story of misunderstanding, estrangement, hate and reconciliation

Conroy - a story of searching for the meaning of life

Lehzen - a story of selfless love and loyalty verging on control

King - a short story, but not unimportant, of complicated relationships inside the royal family and the anxiety about the motherland

Queen Adelaide - a wise woman perfectly capable of using her knowledge to the support of the young queen

ladies-in-waiting - not uttering a lot of lines, but supporting their queen

Albert's brother - not indifferent, but wishing best for his brother

Stockmar - a true advisor on many things

well maybe I've forgotten someone else?

a couple of words about acting - flawless. oh, that's not a couple, that's one word...

costumes

'tis not often for me to enjoy clothes of the characters THAT much. really, I admired all of them. not only Victoria's and not only woman 

among Victoria's this is my favourite. I was especially fascinated by the berries on the top

music

a perfectly fitting collection of both classical pieces - Swan Song, as if written specially for this film - and OST. enjoyable, that's all

conclusion

the pace of the film is not very fast, so this is by no means an action or adventure. instead, a film to enjoy, to be absorbed in, very smooth... again this word comes to mind. well, probably I can't help it, as it really is smooth

my humble opinion on 'Hitsudan Hostess' ~ and some explanation of phrases used in the movie

acting

the more I look at Keiko-san, the more I feel I like her, especially provided I become more and more disappointed in other Japanese actresses of her age. she was cute, as always, but she also did a great job pronouncing words, moving, reacting, doing everything as if she really could not hear a single sound

Tanaka-san who portrayed her mother seems to have a 'mother image', somehow every time I saw her she was playing a mother... as for me, I am completely satisfied with this fact, as I see her as a very credible mother and wife, tender and caring. the 'dialogue' in the end was purely touching, though it was obvious that everything was moving towards that kind of happy ending

Fukushi Seiji did not impress me, though I doubt he could, provided the short time he had in this movie

Tezuka Satomi was just as good as her character demanded, but did not leave any special impression

Toda Naho also had a minor role, but I could not help admiring her look in kimono and her fresh face. 'tis not that her face type is my favourite among all, but she is both beautiful woman and very Japanese-looking

Sasano Takashi's character could be considered a minor one, if not for his brilliant performance. his crying when Rie came to 'speak' to him was so sincere, and his face showed so strong a feeling that I could not help crying myself

music

well, as far as I understand we have several songs by SQUAREHOOD inserted in the film, and I cannot say anything bad about them as background music, but I certainly am not willing to download them and listen to them any longer. such boring songs are never too good as independent artworks

plot

well, though the happy end was inevitable and the story was plain to the utmost, I enjoyed the movie a lot. sometimes we need a fairy-tale-like story which does not make our brain work hard to understand what is going on, but the idea which the movie explains, especially together with the real Rie-san shown, is for sure a good one

what I especially liked in the film was Rie in the film using quotations - though I am not sore if those were the words of the real Rie or someone else's. however that may be, those words were very beautiful. for example

一期一会 - once in a life encounter. that is what my friend told me when we were discussing our first meeting by chance. though this is a short phrase which means a phenomenon, we should not forget the Japanese love for subtext. here the subtext is that every single encounter should be cherished because it can become a very important event of your life

恋は下に心があるから下心。愛は真ん中に心があるから真心 - here we have a rather complicated words play, or better to say - kanji play. the element 'kokoro' - 'heart' - is in the bottom of the 'koi' kanji which means 'love' with the subtext 'infatuation' or 'passion', perhaps, or 'fancy' as it was translated in the subtitles I downloaded; in the 'ai' kanji, which means 'love' as a deeper feeling, the element 'heart' is in the middle - 'tis important that Rie used the word 'mannaka' which means 'the very middle', 'centre', but not simply 'middle'. now if we put the kanji for 'bottom' and 'heart' together, we see the word 'shitagokoro' - 'secret intention', and if we put the 'very' from 'the very middle' together with 'heart' we get the word 'magokoro' - 'sincerity' or 'devotion'. this is Rie's way to explain the difference between 'koi' and 'ai'

大切なのは、どれだけたくさんのことではなく、どれだけ心をこめたか - 'tis not important how many things you do, but how much heart you put in it

隣に誰かがいるだけで”憂い”は”優しさ”に変わります - again we have a 'kanji play'. 'urei' means 'distress' and 'sadness', and 'yasashisa' means 'kindness' and 'tenderness'. if we look closely on the kanji, the second one consists of the 'man' radical in the left and the same elements as in 'urei' in the right. that is why Rie said 'just if someone is near you, sadness turns into kindness'

辛　－　幸 - well, this is a widespread comparison. for example, the song 'tsurai purasu ichi' by ONE OK ROCK describes this two kanji, the first one meaning 'hard' or 'bitter', and the second - 'happiness', and that the difference between them is only one stroke in the upper part, which is the kanji for 'one' - 'ichi'

辛いのは幸せの途中です - 'bitterness is on the way to happiness', that is what Rie wrote after showing the previous trick with 'tsurai'

立って半畳、寝て一畳 - this is a very Japanese saying... I spent quite a few minutes in order to understand it, as the meaning of it is far from the words used. to make it clear, it means that a person can be whatever great, and ask for a lot of space, but he only takes half of a tatami when he stands, and a tatami when he sleeps. the usual conclusion made out of this fact is that a person should not ask for much, but think of his own place

well, I believe I wrote down all the quotations that were there. at least, the important ones

conclusion

a nice and kind movie to watch, and I would even recommend it for family or company watching

a comparison

me finally found the strength to watch other interpretations of 'Scarlet Pimpernel' than the Zuka's.
the first one is of the year of grace 1982. the second is of the 1934
the first one was a great delight. the second was a disappointment.
the first one is British and 'tis comparatively new. the second is American and 'tis black'n'white.
the first one combined the 'SP' book itself with that of 'Eldorado' showing the brightness of the skills to design a new plot of those screenplay writers and the director. the second followes the book to the letter in some details, such as singing Percy entering the house of Brogart in France, but changes the other details so that Margo's connections with Cyr are quite the opposite and the behaviour of Percy is sometimes simply in contradiction with what they were in the book, that can bee noticed by an unaided eye while they speak in the cabinet somewhere in the middle of the movie
the first one was full of true feelings. the second presents a mere effort to create something real.
the first one is that me could believe. the second one was just a show.
let your humble servant try to explain.
sir Anthony Andrews was not too handsome, as me dares to think. still he was the best choice I could imagine. so full of gallantry, so noble and firm. and the eyes were the greatest. those eyes betrayed his every emotion, his adoration for Marguerite, his sadness when he knew her possible betrayal, his hope when she came to his cell. his accent changed when he was serious and when he was playing the part of the idle fop. he was the best, and me will be ever firm in this conviction.
some said madam Jane Seymour isn't that suitable for the part of Marguerite. she isn't, that me can agree, as she has brown hair and looks a bit older that Marguerite was. real Marguerite had the hair of the colour of gold and blue eyes and childlike face, as my honourable guests may remember. apart from this me cannot blame Jane for that she failed in portraying the loving woman in happiness and sorrow.
me cannot say anything for the others, as me didn't pay enough attention to them, but they were credible enough, otherwise me would notice.
as for Chauvelin, he's much more of a human than he is in the book, and there's some feeling in his heart for Marguerite, which could even be called as love by someone, though me doesn't like the variant quite much.
when we proceed to the American old movie, we see an arrogant Margo who is just too proud of her beauty that she is even not capable of casting her pride away to seem tender and cute. her words to her husband are all insincere, her intonation doesn't indicate any of her feelings and her look never changes so we are only to guess that we see the Margo grieving. sir Percy is not much better in terms of verisimilitude. he's trying hard to do something close to what is necessary not able to do it the way we don't notice his efforts. and those are in vain. just a semblance of that famous smile, that fire in the eyes... self-admiration we can see in the movie, nothing more.
all the happenings seem to be in a great hurry and the jokes, however clever and sophisticated, never made me laugh. there's everything we need to be in a complete admiration for the 1934 movie, and still me is not. so disgusting me finds it that me could hardly watch it to the end...
there are so many lines and situations that are exactly the same in the 1934 version and in the 1982 version. my dear visitors may compare those parts themselves if only they pay a little attention to the movies. the obvious conclusion would be, methinks, that the lines in the old version are simply lines while there is a whole universe of feelings in those spoken by sir Anthony and lady Jane
considering the ending of both films, 'tis quite different from that of the book and methinks that's a pity. though 'tis not very spectacular 'tis rather interesting and quite worthy of being presented in a movie
me would like to state that the series of 1998 seem that far from the original and the actors are that unsuitable that me will never waste me time for that 'piece of art'.
the conclusion is, that the 1982's version is much better than the others, though there are obvious changes in the plot. still what is that you want to see, my dear guests? is it the frame, the skeleton, the plot itself, just a ghost of the book? or is it the true people whose sufferings and happiness were tangible to the extent you can touch 'em?

my humble opinion on the 2nd movie 'Gegege no Kitaro'

it was rather serious and... grandiose? like, there were more serious matters and so on...
and the ending was also veeery sad. I`m surprised that the girl wasn`t bereaved of her memory and was left to suffer alone...
and... why did they part, anyway? they could really go on seing each other just sometimes... what`s the problem? o.O
I`m just not satisfied with both endings. I expected them to be just a little more happy...
concerning the song in the end. it was great! until I read the singer was not a woman originally. it`s ok if she decided to be a girl and I think she just has a right to be of the sex she wants and feels comfortable. however, I just can`t listen to the voice and enjoy it and understand it`s cool because it is really a male voice, not because it`s a low female voice. so that fact spoils it all
I was glad to see Moscow philarmonic orchestra participated in creating the main theme ^_____^ yappari, Russian musicians are really professionals acknowledged throughout the world..... *___* aren`t they?
well..... the impression left is so strange. I`m really happy to have watched these two movies but I`m not happy with the way the plot was unraveling.
what I really understood is the fact that I want more doramas ^.^ though I was going to watch either anime or British series, now I`m in favour of Japanese series... or movies... like, I don`t care (and I don`t understand why, out of the blue this wish fell on my mind making me so stubborn in my choice)
I want the OST so badly. why isn`t it uploaded anywhere? to say nothing of the movie "Captain Tokio" which isn`t available either. buuuut the melodies in the background were sooooo nice..... T_T

unexpected changes in the schedule ~ my humble opinion on 'Gegege no Kitaro'

I was really going to write about the groups I`ve listened to for the last weeks, or the manga I`m reading, but I suddenly encountered with "Gegege no Kitaro" movies.
without realizing it, I downloaded them and I`ve just finished watching the 1st one.
*oh please don`t forget I`m always writing with spoilers*
it was like... "kakkoyosugiru" ^.^ this is a word I saw as a tag on pixiv, which proves to be useful in situations like this. just everything was sooo funny and interesting, like a good example of adventure film. I know it`s more suitable for children, but a child I am ^____^
the only thing spoiling my mood right now is the ending... I hate this sad ending!!!!! I`m totally against producers and directors following the original concept and making Kitaro a real youkai. oh.... but! to look thoroughly, they followed only a half of the basic idea. was Kitaro really that handsome young man??? I bet he wasn`t. correct me if I`m wrong! I can`t imagine him involved with a human girl in the manga or tv-series... was he really that kind of guy? well if he wasn`t, they made him this way. that`s why they should have invented a way to let Kitaro stay with Mika....... somehow, this is too cruel for me. I`m in real despair! T_____T
I`ll certainly watch the 2nd movie but I`m not expecting anything interesting there, `cause of the new girl and the new problem. thus it becomes a harem. I`m against harems! p(^^)q
