the new Mirio... or did I get something wrong?

when I was in Quatre Reves, I decided not to buy this particular book only because of the fact WHO was Mirio's partner for the photo session. well, you can see, who. 'tis not as if I dislike her that much, but I had to save some money, therefore, I had to choose what books to buy and what to leave just there in the shop until better times come...
therefore, 'twas not until recently that I finally had a chance to have a look at what is inside. and it makes me shiver...
no, not with Mirio's coolness, or whatever you may call it
I should admit I have always found it difficult to recognize changes, and even if the changes were for the better, I have always been hesitant about them during the initial period. for example, when teachers in our school changes their hairstyle, I was always saying the new ones did not suit them, however, after several weeks I had to agree they were really more fashionable and suitable then the previous ones
this time, no matter how much time I would be given, I am completely unhappy about this change
I am not the first to note the current changes. I remember Otozuki-sama's photo hotly discussed. however, her look seemed to be quite acceptable to me
now I can understand the feelings of Otozuki-sama's fans. however, my disappointment and irritation are far keener
Mirio... what has happened to you? no, better to say, who are you?
what I should answer myself is, this is Mirio... the Mirio who astonished me as loving and caring Henri in 'Algiers no Otoko'. Mirio, who made me smile so much carrying a pig in 'Gypsy Baron'. Mirio, who was cute and a bit fragile even in 'Studio 54', however cool she would look there. this is Mirio whose gentleness and tenderness were praised so many times not only by me, but by Japanese newspapers. this is Mirio who was compared to a small chewing animal. this is Mirio who was so adorably cute on a photo with a kitten
and now I see this. and I am out of words. Mirio portraying a - let me call a spade a spade - Mirio portraying a sexy guy who came with a girl to a hotel room. Mirio lying on a bed with such a lusty face. Mirio looking in the mirror, and so completely unlike, for instance, Ranju-sama looking in the mirror in similar clothes and with similar makeup, but with such a different image and such a different idea
I cried so many times because of happiness and brightness I felt after watching performances, listening to songs, finding photos of siennes I like. I cried because of sadness when I understood that my favourite siennes were to retire. but that was OK. I never though I would cry because I am annoyed, vexed and frustrated. for the first time in my life I hate something concerning Takarazuka. Takarazuka with the motto of 'pure, proper, beautiful'

*upd the same day, 20-01*
OK. now I know what I want. I want that book with a DVD if there is any (I do not remember). or at least some kind of video with 'backstage'. I want to look Mirio in the eyes when she is explaining what image she was to display and what feelings she put into the session. I want to get a proper reason of hers to do this. or at least I want to hear her mumbling something without particular meaning so that I would draw a conclusion she was not the one willing to participate in this session

pics! ~ Misty Station

while checking my 'read it later' list I saw the link and remembered I did not finish screencapping (am I too brave to make a verb and even a gerund out of 'screencap'?)
BTW, 'read it later' is a very convenient thing. the only disadvantage of it is that the full mobile version costs money T____T

well, here they are, the photos! as for me, not all of them were successful... o_O well, I have favourites, too. the ones with costumes with obvious Scottish motives, for example, and also Kiriya-sama wearing lots of white and brown feathers. well, Aono-sama also looks great in white. now I realized it that light colours suit her much better than dark ones, compare with the black dress below
and the yellow coat in the end... *_____*

links! ~ Edward VIII TCA CD&DVD page

somehow I missed the day when the page was launched - even though I saw the date of release of CD&DVD (this fact should have urged me to look for something else!)... >____<
though 'tis not a huge present, a valuable thing there is a very good set of photos set with a short excerpt from the main song
http://www.tca-pictures.net/shop/press/120223_edward8.html

I had to PrtScn them again, as the flash object is not destined to be saved as a vid or image...
I hope my screencaps are not bad...

my humble opinion on 'The Glow of Sunset in Asuka' by Moon Troupe (2004)

Zuka can heal us. I was already aware that I can easily be consoled by watching an anime, but Zuka's performances have even a greater effect on depressions

the most important fact
yaaay! I watched a show without Kiriya-sama in it!
'tis a big achievement for me, who is alsmost unable to tear off Kiriya-sama's performances and watch something different
actually, 'twas my initial intention, to watch the first performance I find in my Zuka folder, and accidentally I clicked on 'The Glow'. when I realized 'twas a Moon performance I thought 'twas my fate, to see Kiriya-sama again, but she did not turn up in the cast. I still wonder why... was she too busy with her dinner show? o.O

singing
a surprise. though not a good one, not a bad one, simply I was surprised with Ayaki-sama's voice, as I supposed her to have another kind of voice
Emi-san's voice was also a nice one to listen to. a 'warm' one, but also a sweet one, not too soft and not too piercing, which is good. not an outstanding one, which is not really bad, but not an advantage, too

acting
I chose Sena-sama's version to watch, as Oozora-sama is obviously not my preference, and Takashiro-san is simply unknown for me (and I have no will to get acquainted with her). now I even regret about it, as Sena-sama in the beginning was too cute for an 'evil' character
another important thing I realized, I love young siennas playing children. it began when I saw Reika-chan playing prince Louis Charles in SP. I was fond of young prince by Mira-chan in 'Prince of the Land of Roses'. I enjoyed the children version of Holly and Becky in 'Studio 54', and also those chidren in the orphanage. each time of that I did not realize I like the whole concept, I thought I liked that particular scene. now I can firmly state I love scenes envolving children characters. and this time we had Mirio playing the main character in his childhood. ohhhh, Mirio, thou wert a cute little girl once... I do not mean, she is not cute anymore, I mean she grew up, and her ken already exceedeth the 'junior' 7 level, and the young boys and girls are played by the next generation now
actually, I cannot name anything interesting about acting this time. 'twas not bad, but 'twas not outstanding. what I can remember from the performance is only the cry of Emi-san in the end and her following monologue about the happiness of a peaceful life with Karatsukuri that was already lost for her - that was impressing. I do think that siennas are great in showing the deep despair, which can consist in both loud sobbing and quiet shedding tears
as for the others, 'twas credible enough, but nothing special about them. I cannot even praise Sena-sana or Oozora-sama, as they showed nothing interesting during the play. everything was of high quality, but average at the same time. as for me, I prefer when people exceed themselves and do something out of their range every time. as Kiriya-sama said, 'tis no show if there is no challenge for a sienna

summary
the biggest advantge of the show is that, 'tis a Japanese one, with a story about Japan, with music, dance and songs being very close to the ancient Japanese ones. I would be happy to watch something Japanese sitting in the audience sometime. however, I cannot name any other attractive points of this particular performance. oh, I forgot, there are masochists among us (no offence guys, in my point of veiw ye art masochists...) who like tragedies - 'tis obviously a story for them, as it proveth one more time how cruel people can be out of jealosy - but let me be honest, 'tis no surprise, is it? and the way 'twas showed presenteth nothing unique to catch my eye
well, a nice thing to broaden our minds and kill some time

finding links again! - this time about Zuka's '14 covers'

after telling my friend that the 'truth' is actually a song by Arashi I wondered if I know the others whose songs were covered on the album. and I do! not all of them, of course.
first, the 'taiyou to hokori no naka de' is a song by Chage&Aska. having heard their voices in 'on your mark' I already became fond of them, though not obsessed or something.
then, SPITZ. the SPITZ whose song was one of my favourite on the 'Nano-Mugen Compilation' by Asian Kung-Fu Generation. and what do they sing? oh yeah, the song covered by Mirio, 'cherry'! ^___^
and 'kanashimi ni sayonara' is a song by... Anzen Chitai. o____O wha? well, I feel this one was modified VERY much in the Zuka's version...
'tis all for now, as I am totally unaware of the other performers whose songs were covered, and I cannot even say I am ashamed...

Happy Birthday

to future Ryuu-sama!
actially, this is the version of the image I made for my phone desktop, and I have lost where my original pic is... though, you can find it somewhere on Tumblr, and I would like to express my gratitude to the person who shared this, though I have forgotten thy name, my generous kindred spirit

hope I shall call her this way soon. I hope and pray every day so that no one stands in her way to the Top.
the worst thing I understood not so long ago is that, in case we have a Top Star from another Troupe, we might have another transfers, the ones which are much worse than transfers from another troupes to Moon - the ones FROM Moon. and those ones might be Masao and Mirio, as they both are obviously aiming to become Tops some time, unlike Morie, who seems to be moving towards becoming Moon kumichou one day (is it really likely that she would be transferred to another troupe after 13 years of loyalty to Moon?).
if there is any magician who is willing to make my wish come true, I pray you, make both Misao and Mirio stay in Moon...... they are such a wonderful couple and I want to see them as Top and nibante eventually... please...........

pics! - me is just too scrupulous!

the owners/creators of the website don't give us a chance to see the picture in its real size, not even a chance to download it. however they don't know about me, my persistence and deep love for some siennas. me is sorry to have no time and will to do the same thing with the other pics, but me has done only these ones for now
hope you enjoy big pics with good quality as me does

02 November 2011

the future is dim...

it happened so that many of the 90s debutants stayed for long in Zuka, so that many transfers were made to make a former N-bante a new Top Star. well, Kiriya-sama became the Top quite naturally, but think of the others. Oozora was made to go Cosmos, then Ranju was made to go Flower, and that's not the end of the list, me is too lazy to check the others...
now we have a vacant place in Moon.

both Masao and Mirio advanced quite soon to be ni-san-bante, eh? just compare, Kiriya-sama was somewhat of a sanbante in  the year of grace 2004, let me judge from the anniversary competition video. it means 10ken for that moment. Masao became a nibante in 2010 with the 8 or 9ken, is me right? well, me agrees that 8 and 10 are quite close. and there's also a saying that it takes 10 years to become a Top.
can Masao do this having precisely 11 in her stage story, one year more than 'necessary'? oh, she can! in terms of her capacities, the thing which is called 'talant', but which me preferres to call a natural aptitude multiplied by personal efforts.
however, can she do this in terms of equilibrium? that's not quite clear. while Ranju-sama became a Top this year, though she obviously was prepared for this long ago, and she is not going to leave soon, Oozora-sama is really awaited to retire, not by me because me dislikes her, but by many others. after her retirement there will also be an option, who will replace her. me doesn't make a 150% sure statement that something like this will happen, but when we have two positions vacant we can really have transfers, cannot we? me means, if only Kiriya-sama retired it would be natural for nibante to succeed, but the fact that two Tops are about to quit can make the High Zuka Officials think 'what 'bout that and how 'bout this?'
the only thing that makes me sigh with relief is that there are not many siennas currently who seem to be suitable to become the next Top in terms of their ken, though it might matter nothing at all, as we know how surprising can the way of thinking of Zuka's people be. but if we do have a transfer...
this means, we could have a star from another Troupe, who wouldn't know how to work in Moon, who wouldn't feel the same we do, we the lovers of Moon and the members of Moon as well. how would she compliment the others... and how would she come to appreciate the atmosphere of Tsukigumi?
me honourable guests may remember the case of Aono-chan, who is also a transferred sienna, but methinks her to fit the Tsukigumi greatly, as if she was destined to come there once.
would there be an otokoyaku-san as strong and cheerful as the previous Moonies were? would there be as interesting and perky girls to become a Top Musumeyaku?
me comes to the only conclusion. the golden age is ending. me feels it even when looking at photos of the last Zuka school graduates. there are not many faces which seem to be strong and daring, promising to create a really unusual Top that we could remember for ages. mostly they look alike, and no, me is not confusing the make-up and clothers, me speaks of the impression, which really doesn't radiate any special aura.
the next century of Zuka will bring a lot of changes.
the changes are necessary to evolve and to be alive. nothing can exist intact.
changing is the basic principle of the Earth.
'tis me who doesn't want some certain things to chage.
but it doesn't matter at all

01 November 2011

my intuition

it either exists in an obvious way, or abandones me giving no hint, no tip and no advice.
now, however, me would like to speak of my intuition working.
why is that almost all the girls me grows fond of happen to be of Tsukigumi?
me speaks nothing of Kiriya-sama, who was the reason me had the interest in Moon Troupe, but of the others me would like to mention the following
it turned out me loves the nibante and sanbante very much. well, me calls Masao nibante and Mirio sanbante, though 'tis obvious that everything is not that easy in the Troupe. however, let your humble servant consider the things to be just as they are stated by him.
if me isn't mistaken once again, my beautiful Suzukaze-sama was also a part of Moon in her time. and if the attention me payed to Masao and Mirio is generally explained by the fact me saw them in the first Zuka's performance ever, Suzukaze-sama's case is a REAL coincidence.
the more me read the list of the other Troupes, the more me was astonished with the fact me cannot love all the actors in the other Troupes. e. g. in case we speak of Yuzuki-sama, me cannot say the others attract me that much, though me conclusion still is based on the pics only, and awaits it's provement by watching. if me honourable guests ask me about the Cosmos, me shall answer me dislikes Oozora-san as usual, however 'tis nibante who attracts me attention and who was a kind of compensation for the possible prospects of the necessity of watching Cosmos perfomance in Tokyo.
me should say a couple of words 'bout the musumeyaku-san too. though me doesn't pay much attention to them usually, me really likes Marimo-chan, her voice and her face expressions are, well, one of the best me have ever seen, though me lacks the experience to say for all of them.
the list, however, doesn't end here. the voice of Shizuki Asato astonished me from the very beginning of the 'kimi no na o yobeba'. and though she changed Troupes, she was also a part of Moonies once.
the most surprising thing is that Sawaki Rizu happens to be a Moonie too! and it was her voice that seemed the most unique on the '14 covers' album to your humble servant. me cannot say why me is so glad, as Sawaki-chan doesn't mean anything to me as for now, but me is really pleased that Tsukigumi collects the most interesting personalities and appearances and voices. well, the only thing that doesn't please me is that Oozora was a part of Moonies, too, and she was even ahead of Kiriya-sama. me is so glad she was transferred to the Cosmos. she suits it quite well, and moreover she suits her musumeyaku too. that means, also, that me dislikes the musumeyaku almost as much as me does towards Oozora-san, though this attitude may alter someday (but quite unlikely!)
