lyrics translation. 'Jupiter' by Ayaka Hirahara

This song leaves an ambiguous impression on me. On one hand, it's very encouraging and positive, and it's a great idea to add lyrics to the famous Holst's 'Jupiter'. On the other hand, the lyrics get a bit vulgar sometimes, and I'm not sure if I like the entire song.
Japanese

Every day I listen to my heart
Every day I listen to my heart

Translation

Every day I listen to my heart, I’m not alone
Deep inside our hearts we are connected
The stars that shine beyond the endless time
Show me the miracle of meeting
Every day I listen to my heart, I’m not alone
I feel the warm embrace of this universe

What can I do with these hands of mine?
I have to feel pain, softly closing my eyes
What’s more sorrowful than losing your dream –
It’s not being able to believe in yourself
If loneliness exists so that we could learn to love
Then nothing on this Earth can be considered meaningless

Listen closely to your heart’s quietness

If you call for me, I’ll go wherever you are
Share those tears with me

Embrace yourself now
And feel the warmth of life

No one of us is alone
We are all loved the way we are
The shining future where you live as you wish –
I’ll always sing a song about it, I'll sing for you

comments:
1. A few words have an uncommon reading in the original text. They are 'shijima', which is actually the same as the common 'seijaku', and 'yuku', which is not an exception at all, but adds a more petical feel to it, the same as 'shijima'. Also, 'uchuu' is read as 'sora' - 'sky' instead of 'universe'. However, even though it's 'sky', the kanji imply it's not the blue sky but rather the dark night starry sky. That's why I left it as 'universe'. The same line contains 'idakarete', that's just in case you were wondering if it's not 'dakarete'. The difference between them is that 'daku' is more literal while 'idaku' can be used in a broader sense and sounds poetic. And at last, that 'mimune'. Just so that you know, the usual word for 'mimune' is 御旨, which means 'God's will'. In this song we have 'chest' or 'heart' instead of 'will', which sounds the same but changes the meaning. If we put these two words together, we can see what's supposedly implied by it - probably that the universe is filled with God's will and we're embraced by that will. Overall, this songs shows an inclination to being religious but isn't religious to the core and stays kinda cosmopolitan.
2. And just in case you were wondering, yes, this text differs from what you see in the original CD booklet. 'Cause I wrote it down myself and then corrected only the parts that were very important. 'tsunagaru' and other things are left as I wrote them. I don't see any special meaning in writing it with kana instead of kanji.
3. And finally, I wrote 'I'm not alone', but since in Japanese there is no subject in the sentence, you could as well say 'you're not alone' or 'we're not alone'. It just sounds to me better since the line starts with 'every day I listen'. That's it.

lyrics translation. 'sore de mo anata o ai shiteta' by Ayaka Hirahara

I didn't like this song at first, it's too boring, I thought. The melody is so plain even I could compose something like that, I thought. Also, it's not that I live such ballads very much. In fact, it's the lyrics that make it so touching. After all, I can't say I love it even now, but it's a very dramatic song with a good text. And I like such songs with kind of pessimistic, dark mood.

Japanese

My darling
My darling

My darling
My darling

Translation

My darling, will you come
To that place where I go?
To the sea that we admired together
Will you come alone?
My darling, will you try to count them –
Those days that we spent together?
With your fingers that look like I can touch them
But I cannot.

Give back my love,
Give back my heart
Tell my why, even though I knew from the start
That it would be a sad love,
I loved you so much?

My darling, do you remember
This heartbeat of mine,
My shoulder that leaned on you
And my lips that touched yours?
My darling, will you cry for me?
Even if I die
And you fall in love with someone else,
Please don’t forget me

Give back my dream,
Give back my tears
Tell my why, even though I knew from the start
That it would be a miserable love,
I loved you so much?

Love me, one more time
Love all of me
Even if destiny holds me
And tells me I’ll never return back,
I loved you so

Tell my why, even though I knew from the start
That it would be a sad love,
I will love you forever?

my humble opinion: Hirahara Ayaka and Soragumi Stars performing on FNS

just watched the excerpt and would like to share the impression.
both the excerpt and the show can be easily found in the web, but I only remember the link to this particular part, so here you are

the song itself is awful. I can understand it was mentioned to be that calm and nice, but the melody was too plain, the kind which makes even a good lyrics sound boring. I cannot say anything bad about the words like 'you are my miracle, you are my hope' which we hear in the song, but please, do not couple such simple words with such a simple melody and such a simple accompaniment. both the piano anf the orchestra parts went unnoticed.
as for Ayaka-chan, she was not showing her best in the song, nor she does it usually, I should admit. among all of her songs there are only a couple that I really like and which seem to have emotions that are strong enough to touch my heart. they are 'Jupiter' and 'Niji no Yokan' and 'Siciliana'
however, honourable guests from Zuka were shining on the stage and to some extent were saving the performance from failure. that is why I should say a special thanks to Hokushou Kairi-san and Ouki Kaname-san. I wonder why nothing about this participation is mentioned on TakaWiki. shall I add it there? ^.^
in general, I would prefer them refusing to sing such a song, but what happened has happened.
