IMHO. "Witch hat atelier" ~ where we are right now

Seems like this show is basically a cross-section of modern anime. Yes, the world is beautiful and the story is fascinating, so much that I couldn't watch more than 2 episodes per day, so overwhelming it was.
The art was just stunning.
The anime series included additional frames that weren't so pronounced in the original. And they were really good.
I like the fact that children stayed children even if they had to solve real adult problems like facing a huge fire-breathing dragon.
However, if we look closely, the art style, the world, the story and the characters who are the driving force are all taken from the original manga. And everything else that an anime can offer is just... decent.
The opening theme was okay. Wouldn't listen to it again.
The ending theme was sheer torture and can be used to punish children.
The soundtrack was all right, but I don't remember a single theme.
Voice acting was just good, nothing more. Girls were just as they should be, but I wouldn't recognise any of them if I heard them again. Adults were more impressive, even though Natsuki Hanae sometimes gave off the fact he has another line of work (one that requires using an alias).
The biggest stars for me were, of course, the older generation of voice actors who really stand out - Mitsuki Saiga, Junichi Suwabe, Kotono Mitsuishi, Ryusei Nakao.
So yes, it's a hit, but only thanks to the mangaka. It's her that we should praise. The production committee of 'Atelier' simply did their job.
