10.04.12 - day 1
Vladivostok airport
13.50 local time
I wish the drivers of buses in the city were like those in the airport... >___<
Narita airport
15.00 local time
Wow, we go to the main building by shuttle!
15.10
To put it mildly, the passport control was going much quicker in the 1st terminal. The sign tells me it takes 45 minutes from here...
15.15
The next sign. 30 minutes from here. Well, we are moving faster than 'tis written there, so that is ok
15.25
The customs officer asked me so incomprehensibly about my luggage that I sumimasened him in reply, so he asked me - so you know Japanese? - a little, I answered. Well, we had a good laugh
Keisei express
15.40
The Keisei express ticket had the seat number on it, and I did not know...
16.00
So many sakura trees!
Minamisenju station
16.32
the station is small, just as I expected, but I did not expect so many people to get off here
16.50
I thank the Juyoh hotel owners for providing a video how to get to the hotel. This is not an easy task to complete!
Juyoh hotel
17.09
Finally! But... 'tis already past five. I shall not be able to get to the ticket counter today, and go to the post to make a withdrawal, too
11.04.12 - day 2
my room in the hotel
8.15
Is it already the time to get up? Ohhh... The strange foreigners were so noisy late in the night, it seems to me I managed to get asleep only several hours ago *the alarm clock is reset on 9 o'clock*
Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre
12.15
I have got my ticket, no problems. therefore, I highly encourage everyone to try and buy the tickets themselves if one has a chance to do so
Hibiya park
12.30
still have some time until the performance. fortunately, Hibiya park is near
13.00
so, this is here....
13.25
the curtain is nicely designed, spent some time admiring the emblems
16.36
everybody is leaving so quickly. I cannot...
JR Joban line rapid service for Toride
18.00
Yurakucho is not a huge station but the area is quite busy. I am glad I did not go deep into the train car, I have to get off soon and 'tis so crowded everywhere
12.04.12 - day 3
Minamisenju station
3.07
the train just left, the new passengers are not coming yet. the station is deserted for several minutes. how I love this silence
Ueno park
Japan is an awful place. I do not feel sleepy in the morning and I can get up at 10 o'clock. And I do not feel like eating everything I see. I look on the takoyaki, tempura, bananas in chocolate, different kinds of fried seafood and whatever is sold in popular places like Ueno park - and I do not want to eat it so badly that I cannot think about anything else. Why???
Ueno park is not as big as it seems on the map. It took me only two or three hours to walk through all the possible paths. But the park is great
Sakura is falling down. Music in my earphones does not let me to be distracted from my admiring mood. Ducks in the pond are swimming quickly as if competing with each other. Setting sun is warm, light wind is cool. The mikuji I bought in the local shrine promises me great luck. A lot of people are wearing funny ears apparently bought in the zoo. Several metres away tasty ice-cream is sold. Life seems to regain its meaning
13.04.12 - day 4
12.30
I did not expect sakura to be in such area, but this is a pleasant surprise
Sensoji
13.00
a lot of sakura everywhere. I can see Tokyo Sky Tree from here. if not for the foreigners running hither and thither, this would be a beautiful time and place
14.00
sometimes knowing Japanese leads to good things. first, I was praised by a passer-by woman who told me that I am 美人、a beauty, and that my lipstick was of her favourite color - purple red, I could name it. then, a woman selling goods with Japanese traditional craft and patterns was very surprised hearing me say 'so many colours, which one to choose' in Japanese. asking her if I could place my sunglasses inside a case to check its size lead to a サービス - 'service' of 75 yen, because I proved to be 礼儀正しい, that is - polite or properly behaving. not a huge discount, but a pleasant thing for me. and the nice guy who made a creep for me praised me again both for my Japanese and my beauty. this does not necessarily mean that I am such a beautiful girl, or that they could really estimate my Japanese after such short a talk, but does this not make one happier when he/she can have a pleasant talk with kind Japanese people?
finally, I reach Kaminarimon. I never knew 'tis such a popular place attracting such a huge amount of people, though 'tis famous
14.38
wha??? a 'New Nyaka'? o.O
15.35
sometimes you can meet the very truth in an unexpected place
14.04.12 - day 5
my room
9.50
packing the bag is a more difficult task than I expected
Nippori station
10.30
so rainy, so windy, so cold... I was so lucky during the past 3 days that I did not get into a real rain like today
10.32
Mum phoned and said the flight from Vladivostok is delayed. therefore mine is likely to be delayed, too
Narita airport
13.00
the check-in started. I wonder when the time is changed. the gate 95 shows 'Vladivostok, on time'
13.30
oh, I have 800 yen on my card! the last Japanese ice-cream for this time
13.50
finally, the time was changed to 17.20
14.30
the screen near our gate shows 'Manila, on time'. great, and what happens to us?
16.30
the gate was changed to 70M. thanks for letting us know
17.10
the boarding is to start in 5-10 minutes. obviously we are not leaving in 17.20
18.00
finally the boarding completed...
18.20
I was required to turn off the player 20 minutes ago, so I cannot close my ears with Cecile Corbel's voice and music while children are crying with all their might, and we are not even ready to take off. my head is aching
the fairy-tale came to an end
goodbye, the country of sakura and cute Asians
