TMC part 6 ~ there are no inverted commas in oral speech

well, technically, of course, you can say 'if you hate me, you should just use some stronger female terms' meaning 私が嫌ならせめて? (I do not really know what they heard in the rest of the sentence), but taking the circumstances into account, 'tis pretty obvious that it should be 'if you do not like using the neutral variant of 'I', use the female variant', since it was 「わたし」が嫌ならせめて「あたい」って言え
too bad there are no inverted commas in oral speech, since Japanese use a lot of phrases and words as if citing someone or marking them as some sort of quotation
FFFpeeps fansub group have minus one point to their image in my eyes - not that it changes anything for them, of course
