the main point
It began when my friend told me 'What anime have you been watching lately? I watched 'Orenchi'. It's so laughable! And slightly gay. Yeah I mean it's all about naked boys in a bathroom'.
BTW, my friend is not into BL, but she's all tolerant and non-hater. Why I decided to watch it actually was not that I was interested in that kind of story, but rather because the episodes are only 4 minutes long, and I knew already that such series are usually from THAT part of anime world. The weird one.
I'd compare it with '30-sai no hoken taiiku'. It's the same kind of humour. You won't find it very often. The characters behave not like real people but rather like just one huge hip of mess.
And it's not BL.
Not at all.
There's not fanservice for yaoi fangirls.
BTW that was a guy, too.
It's not BL, 'cause the Hero said it himself. He wants to be friends with those creatures that inhabited his bath. And he's not blushing at all.
And there's no fanservice for loli lovers.
some other things
The anime starts strangely with a rather attractive song by Matenrou Opera, which I see no necessity in. For a collection of 13 short stories it'd be enough to insert some positive funny song.
As for the seiyuus, all of them did a good job. Shimazaki Nobunaga was 'expressionless', Umehara Yuuichirou was silly and funny, Suzuki Tatsuhisa was rough and funny, Hanae Natsuki was cute and funny, and Tsuda Kenjirou was... he was... he... must give me back my brain.
conclusion
People are seriously rating this anime, giving it 6 or 7... Em... Guys? Like what, story? You expect a story in it?
It's not a masterpiece, it's not a work of art. It's for LULZ. Just make sure you're not disturbed by everything you saw in this post before watching.
