my humble opinion on some doramas

this time I am going to complain. I should admit there are lots of useless doramas which I should call nothing else but waste of time, though most of doramas I watched previously were cool, interesting and inspiring
I wonder if the reason is simply that I got used to doramas? I hope 'tis not
first of all, let me sincerely admit that all the doramas I watched this time I only watched because of Hiraoka Yuta. yep, this ikemen was the only reason for me to watch. however, this does not mean that his appearance in the series can rescue the dorama

lady ~saigo no hanzai profile~
this was the dorama I picked Hiraoka from. well, I saw him already in 'proposal daisakusen' and his character was even my favourite, but I had completely forgotten this fact by the moment I started 'lady'
well, apparently I liked him in the role of an IT genius in 'lady', to the extent that I wanted to watch more of his doramas
however, the reason why I watched this dorama was not Hiraoka (I said I did not remember seeing him before) but Kitagawa-san. actually she was quite plain in 'lady' but still her acting seems to best many other cute actresses, and also actresses who are considered to be cute but do not look like that to me. Kitagawa might not be the best actress in the world but at least she has something apart her appearance to show in doramas. whenever I see her smile when she is happy, her tears when she is sad, her emotions seem genuine to me. both when she is serious and when her part requires some fooling around, she looks quite good to me
as for the other actors, the 'good guys' did not impress me very much. their attempts to portray a person with a trauma in the past was good, but nothing special. the criminals were quite opposite. almost all of them were credible and some of them were even good-looking... o__O well, I liked Yagira-san a lot. he was perhaps the most impressive and convicting among the criminals, creating such a real maniac... I do believe that he has an acting talent
the plot was just another criminal dorama and has nothing special about it. well, the only thing to be careful of is a small amount of unpleasant things shown, such as blood, torn nails, etc. I was especially afraid of such things because I know sometimes a slightest sign of torture makes me almost faint. this time I was completely ok, though

Kiina
is another detective story, and Hiraoka is again a handsome policeman, though not a genius or something anymore. instead, Kiina played by Kanno Miho is a genius who can memorize huge amounts of information and because of this she also reads with the speed of sound
though Miho-san did not look very cute on the poster, her performance was ok. her voice was really an advantage for her. her tembre and intonation were really unusual. her character, apart from those abilities, was a usual girl 'claiming the high moral ground' and able to teach everyone how to love his life rightly. this time, however, this girl was not very irritating because of this constant moral admonitions
another cute character was Kiina's former boyfriend pertrayed by Tsukaji Muga. he is said to be a comedian in d-addicts wiki page, and this is quite obvious. his appearance was always made to look funny (though I just could not laugh when a heavy item fell down his hurt foot). what I really appreciate in this character that he was not solely comic guy, he was also a former boyfriend of the main character, a medical expert and sometimes a good advisor for Kiina and the others. therefore, his presence was completely justified, and this is important for Japanese doramas where some characters tend to be excessive
my opinion on the dorama might be short, but 'tis certainly a good one to watch, relax and enjoy

daisuki!!
the dorama tells us a story of a family where a mentally disabled girl has a child and everybody else is trying to help her. somehow we are supposed to be enchanted with the girl only because she does her best
well, I agree that trying to work hard is the most important thing for everybody, but I am no masochist to endure 10 episodes of Karina's unsuccessful attempts to portray a mentally disabled girl. I wonder why some actresses are praised while all they can is to force a smile or to pretend to be crying. Karina also spent all the time designated for her in the series like this. as for her role, apparently, she thought, and everybody else thought that inclining her head and looking aside made her look credible as a mentally disabled. the more I watch the more I see that many Japanese actors think that they only need to grimace to portray an unusual person
as for Hiraoka, he was OK, at least his crying looked much more natural that Karina's
the characters and the plot were an epic fail. among all the people displayed there were only two persons who commanded my attention. the character by Megumi, who had a very cute face and was also speaking in Osaka-ben with all her might what added to her cuteness
the other one was Fukuda Saki-chan's character. though she could just pretend to have nothing in common with the family, in the end she was the one to worry about the mother's health, she was the one to chase the swindler and end up being arrested, she tried hard to learn how to cook for the family, she worked both day and night and bought expensive presents, and even more importantly she was supporting Yuzu and Himawari and her actions were really for the better, such as bringing Himawari to the kindergarten. at the same time there were some hints that she was in love with Ren, but gave up and even supported his marriage
Ren himself was not a very adorable person. though we cannot ignore his devotion to the family and giving up music and girlfriend etc., he seemed to be just another random dorama guy. and Yuzu was not simply childish or something, for me she did not look cute even once. she only howled and wailed, or laughed with the same intonation every time. this does not look as if her level was that of a 8-year old girl, as she was described.
the others did not impress me at all. perhaps I am a little biased making all them look as if they were not good people, but what I am disappointed with is that everybody was portrayed as a great person and praised except for Kotone, whose only reward was that she was invited to work with the disabled. is it supposed to be the best kind of happiness for her?
oh, and the most important thing. I was so bored with constant Yuzu's behaviour and some kind of unnecessary morals uttered by other characters that I skipped most part of the video, watching only those moments I felt interested in

Dance Subaru
okey, 'tis not a dorama. who cares? 'tis not a fully fledged movie either. at first I thought it better be a series, as 2 hours were not enough for such a long story, but then I started doubting if any kind of serialization could save this movie from epic fail
the story was adapted from manga so badly that every now and then I felt that an important part was simply torn out. most of the characters were left without providing a comprehensive story or background, so I could not even understand why they were there. this applies to Mariko, for example, and even to Kohei
the movie could not boast to have a good OST as well. though it was in the popular trend of creating musical films, the songs were so completely pop and cheap that I wish there were simple background  melodies instead of those songs
Kuroki was there only to show off. this task she managed to do perfectly. she showed her expressionless face unable to smile or to grieve for the loss of an important person. she showed her body - well, perhaps the male part of the audience would appreciate that... and she showed her lack of acting skill as well. my congratulations
Hiraoka was Hiraoka. ikemen with two or three lines throughout the movie. well, perhaps 'twas not his fault
the others were just average
the point is, I am not even willing to read the manga. the story did not impress me at all. of course, Subaru was strong and overcame her fever, and she found her style... but the words of her 'Auntie' that she should dance not for someone, not for her brother and not for the competition are just so against my view of the world. why does the story creator expect me to like a character who does not dance for me? o___O she did not seem to care about others either. though she was a little sad when her brother died and she even remembered him when she got her prize, I could not see a lot of deep feelings there. she could not understand kissing, she could not understand competition and rivalry, she could not understand friendship. instead, she understood that she can dance Bolero in front of drunk visitors of the cabaret, and that she can do street dance 5 minutes after she came to the spot for the first time. if her merits end here, she is not the type of heroins I like
well, I can praise one thing there. the cameraman (men?) was (were?) cool, I think. angles and frames were very... expensive looking, yeah

Presents ~unisenbei~
finally! Hiraoka has something to act, something to show his skills! and he succeeds in portraying both a careless cheerful guy and the troubled and annoyed part of him. even without my biased attitude towards him, he would certainly capture my heart for such a performance
Toda-san was also ok. her cuteness did not seem out of place, and she was not relying on her pretty face only. though she did not cry in the end, she managed to show enough emotions when she finally realized
another important point is the 'colouring' of the film. the clothes and the environment of every scene is very bright, vivid (a lot of orange, green, and other nice colours) and at the same time it does not affect the eyes or create an unpleasant
and of course, just to ruin everything instead of a normal movie we have a short 45 minutes one, as if an episode of something much bigger
why??? why does Hiraoka have to play so many unnecessary guys that leave no impression, and do a good job once in several years? T_____T
moreover, the songs by uni-biscuits were cute, so that I wanted to download them, and then I see there is no info, no website or whatever... again T____T
