TMC. part 8 ~ precision?

if a dictionary tells you this word is translated like this and you have nothing to compare with, then you can only take it for granted. jisho.org told me once that 'otokomae' means 'handsome man', which I used to believe. I was surprised greatly when I heard it used to describe a woman
that first time is something I do not remember clearly, but one I can say for sure - examples like this I have in plenty. this abundance of experience enables me to say firmly - 'handsome guy' is not what 'otokomae' means. 'handsome' itself is not, either
therefore,
じゃ、セシリの男前なとこも、親父さんに似たかな?
must not be translated like this
but something like 'I wonder if Cecily's manliness is also from her father'
why? 'toko' is short from 'tokoro' which here means 'point', 'feature', 'characteristic'. I cannot see any way it would be used in a sentence about some 'handsome guy'
apart from that, Coalgirls' fansub is truly good, especially the absence of honorifics in the subs
